Week 9

Informative Video

Week 8. Still about Powtoon. My classmates and I have to work in a group of three to do our next assignment. The topic is about a campaign, and all of us have to decide on what campaign that we are interested in. And for me and the other two of my groupmates, we chose to proceed with plogging. 

Plogging is actually a Swedish fitness trend that combines going for a run or jog with intermittent squatting or lunging to collect rubbish. This topic catch our attention for its like killing two birds with one stone. The message is not only we can stay fit and healthy by jogging but we also help our nature in becoming cleaner. I believe that this trend should be spread wider so that it could become a habit to everyone and at the same time reducing problems of uncontrollable rubbish or waste across the world.

The only part that I like in making the Powtoon is the script. I would be lying if I said that the second time would be easier. I wish I had more confidence. Nevermind. I did it already.

Oh yeah, the video will be uploaded on my next entry. 

Popotoon

Previous week, my friends and I learnt about Powtoon. And for the assignment, Madam told us to make our own Powtoon video, titled life goals and the duration is around one minute. It was quite hard for someone with no creative value like me to do it. It is not like I am not creative at all, but it is challenging. At first, I took a look at the templates, but none of it looked attractive. Well maybe I am the one who does not know how to make use of it. In the end, I picked a blank page and started decorating and adding content to it.

So, there we go. My first Powtoon video. Again, I would like to highlight that this is my first time using Powtoon, and it was hard for me to make it look nice. 

Powpowtoon

Again I'm back for another entry. I was so nervous when Madam Azida first told us about Powtoon. I have heard about it before but I never really use it for my own benefit. I really thought that Microsoft PowerPoint would be more than enough for my presentation but as she introduced Powtoon, I felt like discovering a new thing, and interestingly it is not as complicated as I had imagined. 

Powtoon is where you create awesome videos and presentations. I can say that Powtoon is the leading site in making such videos and it is very user friendly. The first step for you to start making your own Powtoon is by registering and verify it at your email account and walahh you can start exploring. There are templates that the site provides and you can choose any templates if you are clueless because they are also nice but if you are a creative person and have a lot of ideas on how to make it, then you are free to do it as you will. You can always adjust the background picture, the font, the duration and also the audio. 

I also had this thought that this knowledge would be very useful for those who need to do marketing or advertisement as this is a creative and attractive approach to reach the public. I still love Microsoft Powerpoint but I cannot deny that Powtoon is much more suitable for current modern world.

Hi. Continuing last week lesson, this week my classmates and I learnt about editing. Edit what? Of course, to edit our podcast audio. There are two sites that Madam introduced and they are audacity, https://www.audacityteam.org/ and bandlab, https://www.bandlab.com/. 

The first audio editor I am going to introduce is audacity. Audacity is a free and open-source digital audio editor and recording application software, available for Windows, macOS/OS X and Unix-like operating systems. Before you edit the audio that you have recorded, you have to download it first. Only then you can use it as the instruction given. 

Next, bandlab is a cloud platform where musicians and fans create music, collaborate and engage with each other across the globe. That is the main purpose but it also function as good as Audacity. You can use it online but the limitation would be only for two hours audio.

In the end, it does not matter whether you want to use Audacity or Bandlab. It all depends on your preference. Wish me luck for my podcast assignment!🍀
